The Green Hornet

The only saving grace of The Green Hornet is that Gondry’s fans know he must be more disappointed in himself than we ever could.

For once, something being 3D isn’t the crappest thing about being at the cinema. Jesus fucking H Christ, it makes Tron: Legacy look okay! And thats the best thing I can say about it.

Look, there are plenty of people out there on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes who think it’s okay, good even, but these people are retarded, it was like being transported back to the 90s when comic adaptations weren’t big business and The Shadow, Hudson Hawk and Darkman ruined everyone’s day… there’s two minutes of Gondry in the whole thing, I felt like he gave up, threw his hands in the air and said, “Fuck it, do what you want, if you insist Cameron Diaz ruins every scene she falls in to, go ahead, if you want to put a crappy, jarring soundtrack on, I don’t give a fuck, just give me one White Stripes song.”

But the real insult is the end titles, they recreate the original logo with the comic book feel and follow this through with comic book credits, its like they didn’t see the fucking film before they designed them…

And honestly, is there a whiff of a franchise Kevin Smith hasn’t had a crack at and submitted a treatment for!?
